Great pictures and good examples. I just wish our clients could get as much as yours. Our sale prices are almost double yours. Would love to shop in your grocery stores.

Thanks for the recipes and ideas. I love using roasted garlic in mashed potatoes -- great flavor and garlic is inexpensive. I'm excited to try some of your other ideas as well.

Good morning, Kim,

Please check the blog directly from the Spend Smart. Eat Smart. site. You should be able to open the attachment from there even though you could not access it form the email. http://blogs.extension.iastate.edu/foodsavings

We plan to send a correction...you are not the only one receiving the request for username and password. Thanks for your patience!

The link for the recipes is asking for authentication with a username and password. I've never had that happen before. Is there a problem with the link or my computer?

Susan, We used the actual prices at a supermarket chain in central Iowa lasta week. Some of them are sale prices. peggy Martin (SpendSmart)

Susan,
This is to give you an idea of what others are doing. If you like the idea, tailor it to your needs and with prices that are to be expected in the area you live.

I love this idea... I will use it at our WIC program

Your prices are totally out of whack with what we see at the local grocery stores today! For example, our bananas are $.59 per pound (not .29), our celery is $1.79 each (not .69), our peppers are $.99 each (not .33), our onions are $.79 per pound (not .29), and our baby carrots are $1.79 per pound (not .79), etc. To be effective, your tools should use some real prices. P.S. These are regular grocery store prices, not the small Mom & Pop stores that will charge much more.

Yes! Wonderful job, great tool! A agree with Monica that it would be even more useful if put into some kind of printer friendly format or PDF as she mentioned.
