The Creative Commons (CC) license model allows you to share your work while placing specific conditions on its use. A very good example of where CC has been implmented is in flickr. We are fortunate that so many artists have seen the value in sharing some of their photographs and licensing them under CC. This allows us to use their work when developing content such as a presentation or blog post, as long as we give them attribution.
