Softening hard brown sugar has been a hot topic at AnswerLine lately. If your brown sugar has hardened simply put a slice of bread or apple into the container. The sugar will soften as the moisture from the bread/apple migrates into the sugar. If you need it softened immediately, just put it into the microwave for 30 seconds.
