Western Iowa Dairy Alliance Announces New Executive Director

Western Iowa Dairy Alliance (WIDA) would like to welcome Scott Schroeder as their new Executive Director. Scott is excited to join the WIDA team and looks forward to being a part of the growing dairy industry in Northwest Iowa.

“We are excited to have Scott join the WIDA organization, which is working hard to represent western Iowa dairy producers,” stated Evan Metzger, WIDA President. “Scott will be a great addition to fulfill our mission of supporting farm families, engaging consumers, advocating for our industry, and he will help build the next generation of leaders. His strong background in agriculture and solid education will be a huge asset in building relationships with our members and all who support WIDA. We look forward to working together for years to come and want to build a stronger organization so WIDA continues to grow and fulfill our mission.”
Agriculture has always been an integral part of Scott’s life as he grew up on a diversified farming operation southeast of LeMars, IA. His family’s operation grows corn, soybeans, and they raise hogs, cattle, and cow-calf pairs. Scott recently graduated in May 2017 with degrees in Agriculture Business and Speech Communication. While in college, Scott marched in the Pride of the Dakotas Marching Band and was an active member of the Swine Club.
“I am excited to become a part of WIDA and look forward to working with all of organization’s partners and members to promote the dairy industry,” Schroeder said. “This is an exciting opportunity, and I am looking forward to representing the dairy industry and advocating for all the hard working families that are a part of this great industry.”
