Dean Dohle To Judge Cream of the Crop Dairy Show Saturday

The barns will be ready for cattle at noon on Friday, May 31 at the Cuming County Fairgrounds in West Point, NE. The show will begin at 10:30 am with showmanship on Saturday, June 1; followed by a judging contest and then conformation classes. All youth and adults across the Midwest are encouraged to exhibit. Entries will be accepted until 9:00 am the morning of the show.

The official judge for the show is Dean Dohle from Halfway, MO. He and his wife Stacy and son Grant own and operate Star Struck Farm. The farm is home to 50 Jerseys, boasting 26 classified Excellent and 19 Very Good. Dohle has judged the National Brown Swiss Show in Mexico as well as state and ntional shows in 27 states in the USA.

A silent auction during the show supplies much of the funding for the multi-state show. Items that have been donated include: $500 gift certificate from Trans Ova Genetics; two baskets of probiotic products from Life Products Inc.; Gorey Geiger has donated a copy of the book “We Need A Show; the history of the World Dairy Expo” that he authored; lifetime membership to the National Dairy Shrine; plus many additional items.
