Monthly Dairy Webinar Mar. 1 to Focus on High Forage Rations That Can Yield High Production

The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Dairy Team monthly webinar series continues on Wednesday, Mar 1 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. This program will focus on what does a 70 percent forage ration that results in 100 pounds of milk per day look like.

Dr. Gail Carpenter will discuss how dairy producers can improve margins by feeding higher forage diets and still maintain production.

Dr. Carpenter has been with Iowa State University Outreach and Extension since 2021 as an assistant teaching professor in the Department of Animal Science and worked in various capacities in the dairy industry prior to joining Iowa State. She also served as the interim manager of the ISU Dairy Farm in 2021, and implanted the DairyCY program where students manage the Jersey herd at the farm.

Producers, dairy consultants, and industry reps are encouraged to attend the free webinar live from noon to 1:00 p.m. on January 18 by preregistering at:
