Dairy Beef Tour Set For March 27

The I-29 Moo University will host its Dairy Beef Short Course Tour on Tuesday, March 27. The tour is an educational pre-event associated with the Central Plains Dairy Expo in Sioux Falls, and all dairy beef and milk producers plus industry and students are encouraged to attend. The tour includes stops at two feedlots and one auction facility that deal with dairy steers. The $30 registration includes noon meal, educational materials and bus transportation.

I-29 Moo University 2018 Winter Workshop Series From Field to Bunk: Growing and Feeding Dairy Quality Forages

The I-29 Moo University collaboration will be offering their Winter Workshop Series January 8-12, 2018. They encourage all dairy producers, students, stakeholders and industry personnel to attend.

The series focus is From Field to Bunk: Growing and Feeding Dairy Quality Forages. The workshop series will take place in five locations including: Mandan, North Dakota; Watertown, South Dakota; Pipestone, Minnesota; Orange City, Iowa and Norfolk, Nebraska.

Register by December 29, 2017 is $50 per person and $25 for students. Late registration is late $65 and $30 for students. Late registration fees begin December 30. To register, visit iGrow.org/events.

The Iowa workshop will be held January 11, 2018, in Orange City at the Sioux County Extension Office (400 Central Ave. NW, Suite 700, Orange City, IA 51041).

I-29 Moo University Fall Dairy Tour Featured Farm and Family Success

Thirty-five dairymen and industry people traveled to dairies in South Dakota and Iowa on November 13 to hear producers share how they used technology to improve profitability and incorporate the next generation into the family farm.

Fall Tour: Iowa and South Dakota Dairymen Invite Other Producers To See How They Do It

Dairy producers along the I-29 region including Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota are invited to attend the “Implementing Technology for Farm and Family Success” tour of South Dakota and Iowa dairies on Monday, November 13. The tour is sponsored by the 1-29 Moo University. The buss will leave the Denny Sanford Premier Center complex in Sioux Falls at 9 a.m. and arrive back at 6 p.m.
