The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Dairy Team is hosting another “Virtual Chat” to discuss the latest information on the mystery illness affecting dairy cows on Wednesday, June 19 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
With HPAI in dairy cows now confirmed in three Northwest Iowa counties, this program will discuss the latest information on the HPAI infection effecting dairy ruminant herds and poultry flocks. The agenda includes:

- Deputy Sec. Grant Menke, Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship
- Yuko Sato DVM, ISU Vet College: What can the dairy industry learn from the poultry industry? How are we cooperating?
- Jeff Kaisand DVM, Iowa State Vet: State’s perspective on HPAIV in dairy cows; cattle movement restrictions, fair and exhibition concerns, other states’ information
- Dr. Stephanie Clark, Dairy Food Scientist, New Mexico State University

Producers, dairy consultants, and industry reps are encouraged to attend the free virtual chat at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, June 19. No registration is required.
